Helsingin Meriveneilijät ry (HMV) is a vibrant boating club in Helsinki, Finland, catering to both motor and sailboat enthusiasts. Established in 1961, the club offers a range of facilities and activities throughout the year.

Harbor

Located adjacent to the Kulosaari Bridge at Soutajankuja 2, 00570 Helsinki, the harbor provides:

  • Excellent connections to the city center.
  • A spacious, free parking area for cars.
  • A fenced and illuminated area, monitored by boat owners.
  • Fuel sales available 24/7 via an automated system.
  • Water and electricity at the docks for battery charging.
  • Waste management services (excluding hazardous waste like oils, batteries, and paints).

Members typically undertake one night watch duty during the summer to ensure the safety of the harbor.

Island Base

During the summer, members can visit the club’s island base, Rävholmen, located off the coast of Porvoo. The island offers excellent facilities for relaxation and various activities.

Winter Storage

The club operates an active boatyard in Verkkosaari for winter storage. Members can perform lifting and launching using the club’s equipment. Affordable membership and joining fees are available.

Fuel Prices

Fuel is not available on winter season. 24/7 on summer time.
